Electromagnetic Spectrum

Interactive zoomable visualization: Satellite navigation & microwave bands

This visualization covers microwave bands L through Ka, from ~1 GHz (30 cm wavelength) to ~40 GHz (7.5 mm wavelength), including all major GNSS bands used by GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and NavIC systems.

⚠️ Wavelength Verification (c = 300,000 km/s):
• L-band @ 1.575 GHz: λ = 300÷1.575 = 190 mm (19 cm)
• C-band @ 6 GHz: λ = 300÷6 = 50 mm (5 cm)
• Ka-band @ 26.5 GHz: λ = 300÷26.5 = 11.3 mm
• Ka-band @ 40 GHz: λ = 300÷40 = 7.5 mm

Enhanced Zoomable Interface: Scroll with your mouse wheel or pinch your trackpad directly over a targeted region to zoom directly into that frequency node. Drag to pan left or right. Click directly on any band or constellation card below to auto-focus the spectrum view.

📐 Units & Scale Precision: All frequencies in GHz, all wavelengths in mm and cm. Calculations follow $f \times \lambda = c$. Dynamic scale subdivisions scale automatically upon zooming.
